Sports Betting App
Goal: Tasked by Digital Seat Media to create a simplistic sports betting app that can be used for casino apps. Caesars Sportsbook and Casino requested a mock design of the sports betting app that could potentially be used.
Problem: I didn't have the experience and knowledge base of sports betting. Difficulty navigating the app due to its complexity.
Solution: Simplify Caesars' app and make it easier for non-experienced users such as myself to navigate and understand it with ease. Researched several sports betting app layouts, how it operates and functions. Using myself as the subject of the project, I designed the module based on how I and others would understand it. I researched other sports betting apps such as Drafts Kings, BetMGM, and Action Network Sports Betting and drew comparisons of what I liked, disliked and could use to simplify the app.
Once I understood the direction of my research, I began designing low and high fidelity wireframe mockups in an XD document, outlining and prototyping how I wanted the app to look and operate. Once finalized and approved, I began coding the app using html, css, and javascript designed for mobile view. CSS flexbox was used to structure most of it for purposes of regulating the spacing and dimensions thus allowing proper alignment for images and text.
